When writing an action scene how can you describe someone shooting a machine gun from the back seat of a car?

I am a first time author and writing an action scene is complicated. Is there a way I can describe an angry man shooting a machine gun from the back seat of a car? This what I wrote "I rolled down the window in the back seat and started shooting

With the window rolled down and my machine gun parallel to the car door, I fired a spray of bullets.
