are there cheaper alternatives to buying K&N air filter recharge kits?

is it possible to just buy an aerosol can separately and just buy the oil from K&N or even another similar oil?

to clean k and n air filter soak it dish washing soap then rinse it with water then let it air dry for long time then you can jus t buy k and n oil to spray on it.
