is it a good idea to put ceramic brake pads on my car?

i have a 2001 BMW 325i. the best brake pads for the money at least from advance are the ceramic ones. but will my stock rotors be ok with these pads?
if they are ever going to get hot enough then yes, otherwise go for a full brembo kit, pads and disks
