Does renter's insurance cover damages on a car parked in assigned parking spots of the community?
There are parking spaces assigned to each townhome in front. If let's say our car was vandalized, tires were slashes, or car was keyed, possibly my neighborhood kids. These are close community townhomes all managed by one agency (similar to a cal-de-sac). You need to read your policy, but I have never heard of one that covered anything outside the apartment. Normally you would claim this to your auto insurance, not renters, just as a home owner would file a claim with their auto insurance, not homeowners
